Laminated Glass

Trulite’s laminating process encompasses two or more pieces of glass that are permanently bonded together with one of three interlayer types; include polyvinyl butyral (PVB), Sentry Glass (SGP), and ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA). Laminated glass meet safety glazing requirements and will remain in the opening if breakage should occur.

Laminated glass is most commonly used in skylights, overhead glazing, impact resistant glazing, hurricane glazing, bomb & blast resistance, and areas requiring resistance to forcible entry. While eliminating almost 99% of the sun’s harmful ultraviolet rays, the interlayer can also reduce sound transmission in areas of high traffic or where constant noise is present and needs to be controlled. Heat-treated glass can be laminated together to provide a stronger finished product for the most demanding applications.
